Sadly GIMP (and/or GTK+) isn't entirely predictable when it comes to tablet problems....
I've never had problems with Wacom tablets on my GIMP installation (aside from the occasional failure to detect the tablet at all), unfortunately I'm not quite sure I understand the description. Nonetheless, here's a few quick things to check / rule out: - Screen/window mode. It should definitely be set to "Screen", so this doesn't seem to be the cause.... - Pen/mouse mode. If, for example, you pick up the pen from point A and put it down on point B but the cursor doesn't immediately snap to the new location, then you've got the stylus set on mouse (relative movement) mode. Check your Wacom tablet control panel to be sure it's on Pen (absolute movement) mode. -- Stratadrake strata_ran...@hotmail.com -------------------- Numbers may not lie, but neither do they tell the whole truth. ________________________________ From: gimp-user-list <gimp-user-list-boun...@gnome.org> on behalf of Rein5 <for...@gimpusers.com> Sent: Monday, July 16, 2018 10:23:02 AM To: gimp-user-list@gnome.org Cc: notificati...@gimpusers.com Subject: [Gimp-user] GIMP 2.10 / WACOM Issues? Hi everyone, I made this account because I can't seem to get my tablet set up to use pressure size correctly. Once I learned how to edit custom dynamics I thought things would be fine, however I seem to have come across even more problems which I can't find any solutions for. On one hand, the pressure size dynamic does work, hooray! Only now my pen and the drawing cursor are not lined up. When I go to put a line down the pencil goes off to the right and gets closer as I go left, possibly a resolution issue I'm led to believe, however this offset is only inside the drawing area, everywhere else is perfectly fine. Not only that, but when this occurs the button shortcuts I have set to the pen's two buttons seem to be ignored for what I imagine are the default settings and will not change back. My pen and eraser are both set to 'screen' in input settings and another forum said to ensure 'DirectX' is active in the controllers menu. I have tried multiple versions of GIMP and they all seem to give me the same problem. What can I do to make GIMP recognize the correct position of the cursor and the shortcuts? I can get additional details and screenshots if needed. BIG thanks in advance for nayone who helps. -- Rein5 (via www.gimpusers.com/forums<http://www.gimpusers.com/forums>) _______________________________________________ gimp-user-list mailing list List address: gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list _______________________________________________ gimp-user-list mailing list List address: gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
