You seem to want to drag me into this. Reread the bug report, and you will realize that you got some comments wrong. I kept the report open back then because that fact that I couldn't reproduce it in 2.9.22 does not necessarily mean that the original reporter (with 2.8.18) would see the same. Unfortunately they never wrote any further comments.
