I am using Gimp 2.6.6 on Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) Linux. A lot of what we do starts with acquiring a scan using Xsane from inside Gimp (Create... Xsane...) [I guess many people would not have Xsane installed]. When the scanned image comes in, as the above poster says, it is behind, underneath, etc. I have to go fishing for it. It is mildly annoying the first hundred times. By the 20,000th time (a realistic figure for us) I think it will be _really_ annoying.
