It's going to be a bit complicated to store the messages on the destination 
worker.  You will basically have to keep an out-of-core map.  I still think 
storing partitions to disk will be easier than the messages.  You only load up 
the ones you are computing.  No need to worry about ordering either, very 
simple out-of-core structure.
