The initial results on my lib are quite promising for random writes, ascending
and descending order.
What I think will have to tried, to completely avoid seeks, would be to sort
the vertex list in memory (using a treemap instead of a hashmap), when using
the out-of-core messages functionality. in this way iterating over the vertices
in sorted order would allow us to read the files as they come.
I'll keep you updated.
