That's why I used "/" instead of "and" ;-)

It was plain-text, which Thunderbird and (most other sensible
software) displays as monospace.  Thomas mentioned using the Google
Groups web interface which, according to him, seems to abnormally
render plain-text in a proportionally-spaced font.
