What kind of identifier?
What kind of problems and where?
Is the file in a clone or in a deployment, i.e. you can't rely on a
VCS to tell you what you have?

As long as there are ill-defined goals, bizarre bugs, and unrealistic
schedules, there will be Real Programmers willing to jump in and Solve The
