In my case:
git submodule update --init --recommend-shallow --depth 1 --recursive
Works for some submodules, but for rest cause many errors:
error: no such remote ref ..............................
Fetched in submodule ........., but it did not contain
............................ Direct fetching of that commit failed.
...
remote: Total 0 (delta 0), reused 0 (delta 0), pack-reused 0
remote: Total 0 (delta 0), reused 0 (delta 0), pack-reused 0
Is there any workaround to download specific commit/tag of submodule
without history?
