I installed git 1.7.1 a while back on a CentOS 6 system to help manage a Drupal 7 installation. To keep things simple, I only install CentOS components via repositories. and 1.7.1 is still the most recent in the core repositories. The instructions for upgrading to 2.17.1 for CentOS point me to the IUS repository, but as far as I can tell, the most recent version is git2u-core-2.16.2-1.ius.el6.x86_64.rpm. Other sites recommended the wandisco repository, but the most recent version appears to be git-2.14.1-1.WANdisco.381.x86_64.rpm.
Can someone point me to a CentOS 6 repository that contains git 2.17.1, or do I need to install from source?
