Hello everyone, I was wondering if there's a way to avoid having to type the word git at the beginning of every Git command. It would be nice if there was a way to use the git command only once in the beginning after opening a command prompt to get into "Git mode" (after which the commands can be entered without 'git' at the start of the command).
I asked this question in Stackoverflow couple of days ago (link below). There was a huge response. There were many different work around suggestions. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/56505000/how-do-i-avoid-typing-git-at-the-begining-of-every-git-command As a web developer using Git Bash on Windows, with no knowledge of Unix shell scripting or C++ or Perl, I couldn't use the work arounds suggested. I will be nice if there is a built-in feature which helps with this. I am curious to know whether there is any proposal to add such a feature in the future. If not can this be taken a feature request? Thank you! Regards, Madhu -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Git for human beings" group.
