The idea is to have a 1st class Prometheus plugin for ActiveMQ, similar to what RabbitMQ provides. Some handy features might be metric aggregation, avoiding JMX MBean overhead, user-based auth for metrics, and not needing to expose JMX RMI ports. Does it make more sense to extend the OpenTelemetry plugin for this (https://github.com/apache/activemq/issues/1768)? Is there any interest in a Prometheus specific plugin if I were to develop it? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
