first of all; sorry for being very slow to respond - there were a bunch of things (renovation things :D) ...things look better now; so I'll be more likely to respond in a reasonbable timeframe :) I now wonder what's the benefit of this kryo stuff...I think there is no client in the world which could really use that correctly - I think we even bind our metastore/hive versions together - since it uses some internal ql classes inside the kryo byte array what do you think about the following - would it be possibile: * remove(or at least deprecate) the `byte[]` kryo stuff from the thrift api * replace it with the string based approach... ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
