So far I didn't see any answer except the licensing issue regarding binary redistribution (thanks for that). Anyway, I now added a few commands to the script to download and compile `grep`. While this increase the execution time of the script, it is probably the cleanest and most transparent solution. Since we are seriously running out of time here, please hurry up with any feedback.
