More like a bug in the window manager, or rather a continuation of an existing bug, note the workaround hack to make it work on some X11 window managers [here](https://github.com/geany/geany/blob/ca16aff4c5cb73ccb6b1c9db58389a33ad027e4f/src/socket.c#L684).
