@gsantner as a volunteer project being done in peoples spare? time Geany is
always looking for help.

>From time to time somebody goes around and pings/purges old issues and pull
>requests that have no interaction for ages. Thats done less for pull requests
>because they do indicate that someone put in the effort to make them, even if
>they didn't follow up or address comments its possible someone else might.

Most of us contribute because we are into coding, Geany is an IDE after all, so
administrative things like chasing up old PRs and issues is less attractive

In the specific case of the appdata file, from #1142 it seems the Geany
maintainer is fairly negative about maintaining something that is very distro
specific. Does a KDE distro really want Gnome screenshots and Cinnamon looks
different again? For example I just updated to the latest Mint and found
icons are provided for save all and build so Geany's fallback "blue floppy disk
stack" and "red fallen over bookcase" icons don't show, but they have on every
other distro I've used (including older mints) and stand out like [colloquial
expression elided] on "modern" flat dark themes.
