The autocomplete popup is created by the Scintilla editing widget and it uses `gtk_menu_popup_at_widget()` on any GTK > 3.22 see [here](https://github.com/geany/geany/blob/b524a58e12e85c94a32f64fb72615978b2628af1/scintilla/gtk/PlatGTK.cxx#L1927)
