Well, yes. But compiling a complex package should ensure that all used 
frameworks and included libraries are also safe and up-to-date, not just the 
core source code. (This is why I have doubts about several FlatPaks, and other 
binaries like Snaps or AppImages provided (here or) elsewhere.)
