Antix linux OS Geany
fluidsynth for midi playback qpdfview for viewing the compiled pdf from a .ly project. 1. I'm trying to set up Geany as a lilypond editing app, and noticed some cool options already built, one of which is 'Play Midi'. I can get 'play midi' to start ok, once, but how do i send a stop command, so i can play the same compiled midi file again? When i start play midi, the menu becomes greyed out, and i can't access the command from the menu anymore. (which seems to tell me that midi is still running, even though fluidsynth shows it's stopped.) Is there a stop midi function? 2. Finally, is there an option for a custom shortcut in the preferences for play midi? I couldn't find one, and if there's a stop midi function i'm not aware of, can i assign a shortcut for that too?
