b4n left a comment (geany/geany#4298) FWIW, the problematic token seems to step from kwin's xdgactivationv1 implementation: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/blob/master/src/xdgactivationv1.cpp?ref_type=heads#L52 Not sure what the code does, but it looks something like if the active window is not the requesting window it's getting an invalid token (unless it has special privileges). But again, I'm not sure which app is the client or which surface is being checked (Dolphin, Geany, etc.)
