The fix is great and it's definitely a good thing for correct parsing, but 
again, I think ctags main should make sure such things don't happen because 
parsers can be tricky to get right.

I think ctags should record all promises made during parsing a file and when it 
detects a promise that is identical to an existing promise (or an already 
parsed promise), it should discard such a promise. I'll have a look at this to 
see if I can prepare something like this easily.
