You could try to create a custom filetype from an existing one, in this case, 
maybe from the Bash/Shell filetype.

This requires no coding skills, it's mainly configuration.

Feel free to ask about further details.

You can find existing custom filetype definitions in 
`/usr/share/geany/filedefs` (or whereever Geany is installed on your system), 
all custom filetypes have a `.conf` extension.
