advice2020 created an issue (geany/geany#4427) Not sure if this is Geany or Scintilla related? I have also mentioned this to Scintilla developer Neil just in case.
Currently if you "collapse" a code fold, a thin horizontal line is added in the typing pane. (If not too complex to achieve) Suggesting to consider adding a setting that would allow these thin horizontal lines to extend all the way to the left edge of window, so that they can also be seen in the line number. This could give user a visual if eyes focusing in line number column, to know that code folds have been collapsed and that there is a break in that line number sequence. Just in general though, this would make this line the entire width of Geany window which would really make it stand out even more.
