This is a decision by the Debian Geany packagers and nothing the Geany team can 
change.

We usually do not add distribution specific instructions in the documentation.

What?
Geany does not use GtkSourceView at all. Maybe your AI bot got confused what it 
is talking about and you didn't read its output?

Re-open or create separate issues for Geany relevant parts of this.
