pdavis68 created an issue (geany/geany#4442) Pretty much the title. Notepad++ has this and it's an absolutely amazing feature. I frequently like to have documents open as a "scratch pad", but I'd like it to persist beyond the session, and not have to save the all the files and give them names. I'd like them to disappear when I close the individual tabs, but not before then
To achieve this, you save all the untitled documents to temporary files (and you auto-save any open named documents) and then shut down when someone closes the app. No warning of unsaved documents, just auto-save everything. When the application runs next, it re-opens all the same files (assuming they still exist). It's such a wonderful feature. I really hope you see the value in it and add it. It seems like a fairly easy feature to add, with a really big payoff. -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/4442 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
