b4n left a comment (geany/geany-plugins#1238) @xiota you can update this one. Just make sure you test a bit with 5.5, in case a build compatibility is not enough -- and maybe check if there are known changes in 5.5 worth looking out for?
Anyway, just update this one. I'm fine with merging it then (or now) if you tell me it's good, although I kind of agree with @techee that it's not necessarily worthwhile to try and support every single version available because it creates a huge test matrix that gets less and less likely to be covered by actual tests.
