WrapEarnPass left a comment (geany/geany-plugins#1228) Not to refresh a stale ticket, but just as a reminder, [lua itself has stopped providing releases for 5.3](https://www.lua.org/versions.html). I would advise to update this to 5.4 and 5.5 support only. For linux, debian has 5.4 in stable. arch is up to 5.5 For windows, msys2 has 5.5 as current, but is still building 5.4 For mac, ports is up to 5.4. brew is at 5.5
