laaneoks created an issue (geany/geany#4645) When I open the File/Open menu and paste (the full path of the file is in the clipboard), today the error message "The folder contents could not be displayed. Operation not supported" is displayed.
The file open window could allow for easy (copy-paste) opening of a file (with path). If there was a directory in the clipboard, the window will go to the corresponding directory. If the file path did not exist, it will open as far as the directory tree existed. Relative paths and "~" (home folder) could also be considered Today, an alternative option is to copy-paste the file and then select it and choose "Open Selected File" from the pop-up menu. This is much more cumbersome, not as intuitive.
