Specifically for the case of cudf, since they are using `RecordBatchReader`, one option would be to keep that class in `pyarrow.lib`, since that is only the base class and not ipc-specific (we also exposed that class in python at the toplevel in pyarrow instead of in pyarrow.ipc) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
