@jorisvandenbossche Indeed it also resolves [ARROW-14500](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-14500). As for [ARROW-17813](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-17813), just quickly running the example with the PR as-is, results in the same error.
