Related to https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/pull/5728 and https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/issues/3462 # Rationale for this change I noticed a potential improvement while reviewing https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/pull/5728#discussion_r1592955729 I think this panic can only happen if the stream is polled after it returns `Poll::None` which "should not" happen. However, the existence of APIs like [`fuse`](https://docs.rs/futures/latest/futures/stream/trait.StreamExt.html#method.fuse) suggest to me it does actually happen in the real word. # What changes are included in this PR?
