1. I'm not sure I'd agree that "using the AWS_ROLE_ARN environment variable works " specifically if you try to use only AWS_ROLE_ARN it does not work. But then in the arrow docs this is not a documented way of using it. Which i guess probably means there are no tests for this either. 2. I'm not certain we can blame AWS SDK, i use a lot of apps that use AWS SDK with AWS_ROLE_ARN ID successfully -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
