@davetapley Seems like the maintainer of pyarrow-stubs no longer has the bandwidth to continue, and is interested in donating the stubs From a quick skim of https://github.com/apache/arrow/issues/32609, it seems like there are underlying issues why arrow can't have inline types. In that case, if/when the stubs get merged in, it might make sense to set up typechecking for just the stubs & use [stubtest](https://mypy.readthedocs.io/en/stable/stubtest.html) to ensure that they are complete & up-to-date with the implementation.
