An update: 1. We merged https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/pull/8733 and it shipped in arrow 57.1.0 2. We published the blog post yesterday from @hhhizzz about this work: https://arrow.apache.org/blog/2025/12/11/parquet-late-materialization-deep-dive/ 🎉 3. I am working on a PR that has an adaptive `RowSelection` (that has both RowSelector and Bitmask backed version) based on work from @zhuqi-lucas and @XiangpengHao - I think it is now in good enough shape to benchmark.
