If the basic idea is to create a row format that is targeted for equality (rather than comparison) that seems reasonable to me The engineering challenge will be, in my mind, how to avoid re-implementing a bunch of code that is very similar but not quite the same as the existing row converter -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
