   I don't know the exact details of those warnings, but if the warnings are 
"correct", in the sense that this is what a user should see if they try to 
access dlpack through an unversioned interface, then indeed we can just 
suppress (or assert) those warnings.
   
   > As for the Python deprecation and C++ not implemented error combo, we 
could also keep it as is for a while if we see the removal of unversioned code 
could be done soon?
   
   I don't think it is a problem that certain code triggers both a warning and 
an error (again as long as the warning is correct for that case)
