Hi @asfimport, I’d be interested in working on this issue if it is still relevant. My understanding is that the CSV writer currently creates/writes a target but does not expose an explicit append/overwrite behavior comparable to readr::write_csv(append=...). Before implementing anything, I’d like to inspect the current C++ CSV writer API and file-output path, confirm the present behavior on main, and review existing writer tests so the change preserves current defaults and only adds the requested behavior.
