Closing this one: the log shows CMake believed it was targeting `x86_64`, which means the cross toolchain file wasn't setting `CMAKE_SYSTEM_PROCESSOR`, and Arrow's SIMD defaults are derived from that variable. conda-forge has cross-compiled pyarrow for aarch64 and ppc64le for a long time now. If a correctly configured cross build still trips the SSE4.2 check on current Arrow, please open a new issue with the toolchain file. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
