I did a quick naive check of the performance of this branch, and comparing the simple components, they are consistently 6 to 25x faster compared to the pandas implementation (6x for the year/month/day, 25-30x for hour/minute/second). That aspect seems to be good! (I don't know how good the pandas implementation is, so it might not be the most relevant comparison (comparing with eg clickhouse might be more interesting), but it at least says something) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
