Or just return a `double`? Is there any efficiency gained by representing the length as an integer at the R level? Probably a separate issue, since this would apply to the Chunked Array, record batch, and regular Array (even though you can't create an array longer than 2 ^ 31, from R, you can import them via C). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
