Thanks for reproducing this and offering to work on it! This matches the direction I had in mind: keep redaction limited to diagnostics while preserving the underlying URL, `Display`, `as_str()`, protobuf round-trips, and registry behavior. For ABFS/ABFSS, the username identifies the container, so hiding it does lose some useful diagnostic context. That seems reasonable as a conservative starting point, provided it remains intact internally. Omitting query strings from those errors makes sense too.
