Rebased onto main as e44cd06; the only conflicts were the `parquet::basic` import and the module doc in `eager_page_index_reader_factory.rs`, where I kept the new next-file prefetch paragraphs from #7094 alongside the `TIMESTAMP(NANOS)` note.
