A few months ago, I forked repository buildr/buildr, which was a clone of an SVN repo. We have recently made some changes in the SVN/Git infrastructure, and the canonical source is now apache/buildr. I would like to repoint the GitHub fork information over to apache/ buildr (so that the repository says "Fork of apache/buildr"), but I don't want to lose my repository network and watchers. Is there any way to do this without deleting and recreating the repository?
Note: I do not have to make any changes in the Git repo itself, this is purely at the level of GitHub and the information it has (or thinks it has).
