I just forked a repository, cloned it to my machine, changed one file
(the version file) and committed my change. Upon pushing back to my
clone repository, I get the following error:
marvin:eeepub waltd$ git push origin
fatal: bad object dd9fee79a913261f52bb81cc63497f9ceb017b15
error: pack-objects died with strange error
error: failed to push some refs to '[email protected]:walterdavis/
eeepub.git'
I've been through this once before, and was only able to restore it by
deleting the entire repository from Github, and then push from my
local machine. Obviously if I do that here, I will lose all the fork
metadata (at least I think that's what will happen).
Does anyone have any good ideas how to go about fixing this? I'm using
git 1.6.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.8
