Thank you very much for your reply. I will go the Omnibus route. I want to use the GitLab for development with a couple of my colleagues. In looking through the installation document, I came across the following: "*We recommend setting up your development environment with the GitLab Development Kit <https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-development-kit>.*"
Does the above statement mean that for doing the development work, GitLab Development Kit is recommended (https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-development-kit/blob/master/README.md)? Also, does the Devlopment Kit depend on the dev packages? OR Can I just go with https://about.gitlab.com/downloads/ ? Thanks for your help again.
