I'm looking for a way to inject events into the Activity Stream via API.
Ideally under the Team category and linked to a person.

I couldn't find any API endpoints at all that would deal with this but
figured I'd ask before I wrote it off entirely. The intention is to use a
commit hook to go and do _something_ with a third party system and then
have that push events back into the stream afterwards via HTTP.

Any suggestions from the community? An alternative way to achieve a similar
thing would be ok, I just want to be able to trigger a visual cue of some
description inside GitLab based on an external event.

Cheers.
