Dear recipients,
my name is Benjamin Mach and I’m a student of computer science at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. For my bachelor thesis i have to extend a Patch-Flow-Crawler and came along a caveat i would ask you for some information about the common practice of structuring from the perspective of a Gitlab or Github Enterprise Administrator. Many companies are separated into groups with hierarchical layers, but neither Gitlab nor Github Enterprise support a nested mapping of organisations, groups or teams. 1. Is your organisational structure hierarchical? 2. How do you implement the structure of your organisation in your Gitlab/Github Enterprise instance? 3. I read about a strategy of resolving the missing hierarchy through delimiters. (e.g. maingroup-subgroup1-subgroupofsubgroup3) Is this common practice for you and if not, how do you handle this? Thank you for your time. Best regards, Benjamin Mach -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GitLab" group.
