Initially I configured GitLab in stand alone mode and set an email for root
which happened to be my address.

Subsequently I enabled LDAP and logged in as myself using LDAP. However I was
dropped in as root, I suspect because it saw my email address already
associated with root.

I want to change roots email so this doesn't happen but now its greyed out and
says it's set by ldap. I disabled ldap and reconfigured but the email is still
greyed out and the ldap message is still there.

Thoughts?
