We are using the latest release of EE (8.8.2-ee), testing for a move from
Github. I am trying to get group sync working but I seem to be having
issues with group sync only as LDAP users can login just fine.

Both the admin_group setting and the LDAP group sync when trying to tie
GitLab groups to LDAP group's are not working. When I run gitlab-ctl tail
and try to link an LDAP group to my GitLab group I get the following error
while typing/searching for the LDAP group to sync:

LDAP search error: Referral

Any thoughts? I've found nothing on the error related to GitLab or the LDAP
module/code that gitlab seems to be using.

Thanks!
