After I moved my GitLab from a CentOS6 to CentOS7 VM I now find the
restored data probably has the wrong permissions. I'm getting a LOT of 500
errors, and any newly created projects have different file and directory
permissions. I'm making a leap and assuming the GitLab docs presume the
default root netmask. But I work in government, so that is a bad
assumption. Is there a mechanism to repair the permissions? Or re-restore
the archive over the existing data? What netmask is the restore process
assuming you have? I'm pretty sure even el6 and el7 have different default
masks.
