The short answer is that Gitorious isn't fully prepared to be hosted on a
context path other than /. It is possible to make it sorta work, but there
will be some edgy behavior.

We have made improvements in this respect over the last year, but I don't
think we're there yet. This is not currently a prioritized task with us,
but I'd be happy to merge improvements that helps make this setup smoother
(remember tests!).
